These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AI4F ("we", "us", or "our"), including our website, learning platform, backend services, and the AI4F ChatGPT App. By using AI4F, you agree to these Terms.
AI4F is a Japanese learning platform that provides study tools for vocabulary, kanji, grammar, listening, speaking, quizzes, and JLPT-style preparation. AI4F is provided for educational and self-study purposes.
AI4F is intended to support language learning. We do not guarantee that using AI4F will produce a specific score, certification, exam result, or level of language proficiency. Learning materials, explanations, scores, and practice results should be used as study aids and may not always be complete or error-free.
Some AI4F features may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

The AI4F ChatGPT App allows ChatGPT users to request Japanese learning information from AI4F, such as vocabulary, kanji, grammar, and JLPT-style preparation guidance. The current ChatGPT App version can be used without linking an AI4F account.
You should not submit sensitive personal data, passwords, API keys, payment card information, government identifiers, health information, or other confidential information through the AI4F ChatGPT App. Responses may be generated using AI systems and AI4F data, and may require independent verification.
AI4F is an independent Japanese learning platform. AI4F is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Japan Foundation, Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, or the organizers of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test.
References to JLPT levels are used only to describe Japanese learning levels and preparation goals. AI4F materials should be understood as learning and practice resources, not as official test materials or official exam services. We do not guarantee any JLPT score, certification, or exam outcome.
AI4F, including its software, interface, branding, and AI4F-created learning materials, is owned by AI4F or its licensors. You may use AI4F for personal learning, but you may not copy, republish, sell, sublicense, or redistribute AI4F content at scale without our written permission.
Third-party trademarks, names, and content remain the property of their respective owners. Any third-party content used by AI4F is intended to be used according to applicable permissions, licenses, citations, or legal exceptions.
You retain ownership of content you submit to AI4F, such as answers, recordings, messages, or reports. By submitting content, you grant AI4F a limited right to process, store, display, and use that content as necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your submitted content does not violate any law or third-party rights.
Donations to AI4F are voluntary and help support the operation and development of the platform. Donations do not guarantee special access, ranking, exam results, or additional services unless we separately state otherwise in writing.
Donations are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we expressly agree otherwise.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of AI4F at any time, including features, content, integrations, and availability. We may also impose usage limits or restrict access if necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.
AI4F is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI4F will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of AI4F.
We may suspend or terminate access to AI4F if we believe you have violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, abused the service, or infringed third-party rights. You may stop using AI4F at any time and may request account deletion according to our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of AI4F after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
